Any registered license NOT Pro is considered a Limited Edition User.

No License User
Limited Edition User
Professional User

So, just to clarify...

If I purchase "VDJ Home edition" and register it, I'm a "Limited Edition User"....

AND, I can download and use the "Skin Resizer"...correct?

I need a skin for a 1024x576 netbook...and only need to purchase VDJ Home Edition.

Thanks,
K

Yes, as a crack user ... if you want the 'cheapest' way out ... sure go for it.

Quick question from a newbie.

Is Home Edition exactly the same, in that it has 2 virtual turntables, same skins, etc. as the Pro version but with less features?

Does it look identical?

Thanks!

James

Have a look here: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

I think the basic skin is similar to pro, but you can't download and install some of the other skins unless you have a pro licence.

Maybe one of the experienced guys can add to this .......

it does look identical..
Good questions about the skin(s) thing..
I dont know if V6.03 home edition just comes with the one 'stock' skin or if they also include all 4 than came with the pro version..

Which isnt a big deal.. I have the Pro version and to this day I'm still using the stock skin..
Especially the version 6 one!.. probably the BEST stock skin I have seen to date!

If your just going to be using this at home, you seriously can't beat the price..

I agree with you hippydog. Just on the page for the Home Edition the picture at the top is different to the other two versions but it does look like an older version compared to the others.

The reason I ask about the skins is because I WANT the same default skin as Pro. What a fantastic creation!

Thanks!

if you want that exact skin, then it looks like you will have to go with the "basic" version.. which I didnt even know about until just 10 minutes ago LOL!

the "home" edition is the 5.x version..

personnally, if I were you, I would snap up the "basic" version the second it becomes available..
the netsearch function is worth the price of admission alone ..
Netsearch I dont think is a big selling point to the established Pro users (as most of us already HAD our music from before)
but for a home user? HUGE BENEFIT!

but with netsearch isnt it only databse? meaning if i were to erase or reset my vdj ill loose those songs? i tried the netsearch its a cool feature but i dont actually own the song but can use it anytime im connected to that loaded vdj am i correct.

That is the problem, WHEN it becomes available. How long will that be? I can't afford to wait more then a few weeks. That is why I was tempted to buy the Home version if it is just a watered down version of the watered down version (Basic).
