All,
I have exhausted my search capabilities and still can't find exactly what I'm looking for. Hope I'm not repeating a thread that has been created in the past.
What I'm looking for and need is a step by step setup procedures or video on how to connect/make work my laptop with VDJ 6.0.1 to Pioneer DJM 800 with Pioneer CDJ-1000 MK3's. Also to include what cables and/or additional associated equipment will be required.
Thanks!

@TearEmUp thanks and that should help once I get it all connected. For now need the steps for connection to the mixer. Do I need an interface? Required cables, what slot/connector they go to on the mixer and etc? Then of course once it's all connected the procedures to get it all working.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

You need a external 4in 4out sound card to make everything work. Do you have one?

@syberman; No I only have the Dj io interface Sound card that I currently use for the Total Control. Which 4in 4out sound card do you recommend?

Thanks for the PM, I do what I can to help...
You can't do time code with the DJIO, Virtual Vinyl which is the interface and time code CDs or a RANE Serato SL 1 will work, it too is an interface and comes with time code CDs. The RANE SL 3 that I have only works as a through (passive) until Serato comes out with an update otherwise I would highly recommend that one over the SL 1.
Another option is the Maya 44 USB, it will work as the interface but you need time code CDs which is not supplied with the Maya. You can download the time code tracks here in the "Download" section then burn them to CDs with your computer.

@DJRudeDoGG
Thanks. I've seen some set up pics of the Maya 44 but by chance you happen to stumble on some for what I'm looking to do with the DJM 800 & CDJ's 1000's??

Here is a thread from the Spanish forum that's in very obvious English. the person has what you're asking about but the topic is about DJM-800 MIDI control.

I have the same setup as you. I have 2 Pioneer CDJ1000MK3's and Pioneer DJM800 mixer. The sound card I use is M-Audio Conectiv. It's a beast and I recommend this card. Stay away from Maya44, lot's of headaches with that card.

OK, there you have it. I don't use a soundcard solution so I recommended what I know others use.

Please open your own new topic on this subject rather than bumping an old topic that's over 3 years old and for an out-of-date version of the software. This topic is also about using CDJ-1000's & DJM-800, not the Denon HC5000.
