Hello everyone in virtual dj. I recently upgraded to Virtual DJ 6 from Virtual DJ 5 and for the life of me, I cannot get the time code cds to 100 percent. I've been trying for the past two days and no help. I currently use a PC, with the numark virtual vinyl sound card, I have pioneer 909 mixer and Denon S3500 cd turntables. If anyone can help me with the time code cd issues, please help me.

Possible, all the users I follow and having drifting have a Maya44 USB
In the VirtualDJ Sound setup , do you select the Maya44 icon (direct way) or use normal way and select the sound card in the list ?
Ultra-latency ASIO option?

I'm using the Conectiv sound card and I am also experiencing the drifting, very very noticiable (v 6.0.1 w VDJ TCV). I reverted back to v 5.0.7, Pitch sensetivity to 650, Lead time to 0, disable keylock on the software and it works like a motha..... stable as hell, no problem doing long as hell mixes, no drift, but sound quality is bad, very bad. Could be that VDJ and conectvi don't get along. Still working with it.

Ps. please avoid posts like "bring the old version back", as they want help at all at this point.
If someone -for whatever reason- needs an older version because it work better for him please let us know and we will make it available.
I don't think we want the old version back, we just need a time code engine that just simply works. And that time code engine is engine 4. Yes, VDJ needs to bring THAT back.

That isn't very consistant QC
Its either good or its bad unless tracks themselves are causing this.

Try switching to Smart mode - after doing that and making sure i had perfect circles (by adjusting the knobs) i havent experienced any drifting

Hello,
I'm trying the version 6 of VDj at the moment.
I'm using : 2 CDJ800Mk2 and 1 Mackie D.4 pro (includes a firewire card) + 2 timecoded CD's
I'm facing a strange 'buffer' issue when I use the CUE buton.
I always have some noise when I press CUE during few milliseconds, and after I listen to the song normally.
If I move a little the JOG to send timecode information before pressing CUE, I don't have this noise.
Seems to be a timecode buffer issue.
Do you have any idea to reduce or eliminate this problem?
Thanks for your help
@Fred

Last night I arrived at the club and had some trouble with my laptop power supply cable. I then used the last DJ’s laptop, which he had VDJ6 loaded on. He has never used it with timecode, so simple install of my drivers for my sound card, and a few setting changes, and I was set to go. I was expecting to have to deal with this timecode drifting problem, but to my surprise, there was NO problem at all. His laptop had practically no other programs on it, so I now assume it is probably some weird kind of latency problem.
I need to replace my power adapter and once I do that, I will see if vdj 6 works on my pc. Will report back here.
BTW – How do you enter your serial number into the forum?

it worked perfectly when my pc wasclean and only had windows, my external sound card driver and vdj on. As soon as i started loading my other drives, i started having a problem. i wonder if the drivers of my HP laptop is not cuasing the drifting?

Turn on noise filter this fixed it for me no more drifting. The drifiting is caused by the record being dirty or scratched make sure you always clean your records
my system
windows vista home premium
dell 1525 1.86ghz dual core
4gb ram
320gb hd
maudio connectiv
serato cvo2 vinly black,red,clear
ddm4000 mixer
numark tt1650
stanton t80
2 white label needles
pioneer sedj5000 headphones (which i dont use lol)
make sure for serato vinly you set the timecode settings to relative 1000 so you can constantly flip your record so it lasts longer
take care practice and have fun
and thank you Jason the tech i guy i spoke to today you really helped me out

People there is no fix for the drifting on the maya44usb... VDJ has no F!@#$ing clue what they are doing or knowledge of what to suggest as far as sound cards to use. get the hercules deejay trim and all these problems will go away. ESI the maker of the maya44 had no clue of how to correct this problem. so sell your card to the next up and coming dumba$$ dj and spend the 250.00 to get the right card for the job...remember you get what you pay for and the maya44usb is a waste of money for time codeing

Aha! That's a big surprise for me, I got the M-Audio Conectiv and Audio4 Dj from Native Instruments with Shure M 447 and still VDJ for vinyl time coding sucks.
Make this clear I just said for Vinyl Time coding.
