Topic: Bug with stutter play??

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey guys. I recently noticed that for some songs, when i hit the 'play' button on my totalcontrol several times to stutter from the cue point, it actually plays about half a beat before my saved cuepoint, and hence the mix gets botched pretty bad. It does not happen for all tracks but often enough to get kinda pissed off. Wonder if any1 knows any fix to this. In case my explanation isnt comprehensible, ill attempt to draw a little diagram below to illustrate my point.

That happens with me also. im running VV and the first cue point is saved but it seems to be quater of a beat infront and visually on the screen also. confusing

Any1 knows how to fix this pls?

there is an answer... I'll get back with you on it cause I can't remember right now.. maybe someone will step in I know it's in your config under options

Edit:

Do you have auto cue set to enable

Have the same problem. I thought it was a latency issue, guess not. Thanks for bringing this up. Waiting for a response.

What CD players have you got, Pioneers?

i use cdj 800s with VV.

If you're having problems with the cue positioning, could you try this ( it's something I read a few months ago on here). Set the 800's in vinyl mode and set the timecodes to the vinyl option in the timecode config.

I don't know if this will work, as I said it's something I read.

I always have them in vinyl mode but i dont have that setting set. will try it.

I was going nuts trying to figure this out when i had the Denon Hc4500 and virtual dj native. I see that many had the same problem. It seems to me like the laptop consumes alot of energy to start on point. The wave forms sitch up and down also.
