hopefully I can explain my issue :)
Background: I use VDJ on two computers, my rackmount (my working computer), and my Desktop (home computer).
The rackmount is my "work" system, I only use it when I am at a dance.. I can take it in the house but its a pain-in-the-butt and I am lazy..
:-) LOL
The Desktop is usually where I do most of my "changes" on my music.. ripping, renaming, correcting BPM's, etc etc etc
A 1TB hardrive is shared between these computers.
most of the information is stored on the ext HD (like BPM, Tags) so thats good,
ISSUE: BUT not all the information follows the Ext HD, (Filters, Keyboard shortcuts, Virtual folders, last time played, etc etc)
Question: Is their a way for me to change the way VDJ stores this info? (as far as I understand VDJ uses two databases, one on the external harddrive, and one in "my documents",) how do I make VDJ store all this info on just the external?
thanx!!

Hi Hippy,
Not sure about an answer to your question, but it sounds like you would benefit from using a Folder sync application, one example is:
http://www.rbrowser.com/rb_folder_sync.html
Google "Folder Sync", tons of different options, and most options are freeware. Any folder sync app will do a local to local synconization, which will sync the selected folders/data/files in one folder structure on one drive to another drive. Another term to sum up the method is "data replication"
Just a suggestion, but not really the answer you were looking for,

Hello everyone. I just got a second laptop and I was wondering if there is a way to synchronize 2 computers together via, either, ip ethernet cable or midi clock. Basically I've been doing research on tracktor and I came across a video on youtube where Richie Hawtin (Minimal Dj) says that in him and his buddies computers are all synched up some of them using tracktor and others using ableton live and that he can stop or play any of the other laptops from his at any point in the show. I am asumming that it has to be possible to do in VDJ and if not then let's get in touch with the developing team so that they could implement this ability.

Hippy - If you use windows, Microsoft makes a free piece of software called "SyncToy" the latest version is 2.0. I gives many ways to sync and is pretty simple.

VDJ has a Network Sync option that allows multiple instances to communicate. I've also experimented with MIDI clock in VDJ so it is possible.
