Topic: How do I make the 'Video' full screen?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I'm connected to my external monitor/screen, how do I maximize the Video window? All I can figure out - is to drag the window to fit the screen I'm displaying on. And I'm left with a bar at the top saying "Video" with the navigation buttons (looks dumb). How can I make full screen? Thanks!

in the config menu of VDJ - got to video.

Under tv output you should have a drop down window - if you select the video card (Nvidia etc) instead of "window" that should fix it for you!!

Thanks you for the reply. Maybe that's the problem - video card. I'm on a Mac...the only option I see in the "Video" tab is "Window". Is that because my video card can not handle it?

Hello,

First connect your pc/laptop to the external device (beamer/tv) and THEN startup your pc/laptop.
When you connect to the external device when your laptop/pc is already started, it could be that he don't recognize the external device.

The second step:

An easy way to tell if your computer can facilitate dual displays is to:

Close down an programs or applications
Right-click in an open area of your desktop
Select Properties
In the Display Properties dialog, select the Settings tab.
If your computer hardware can facilitate multiple displays, you will see two (or more) representations of monitor screens.
Click the boxes labeled 1 and 2 ... the resolution and color selection may change (you can set the resolution of each display independent of the other).

Ordinarily, the Primary (1) display is the VGA monitor (on desktop machines) or the LCD Screen (on laptops). Depending on your computer's hardware, you may have more video displays (3, 4, etc. up to 8) available.

Click Display 2 and choose “Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor”.

The last step is to go to virtualdj and change on the video tab the output to your videocard.

Greetings,

Dj Anthony
