Topic: Can I lock the Deck that's in use?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi, I'm using Cue LE with a Numark Total Control. Is there a way of locking the deck that's playing so that I don't load it up with a new track by accident? Or is this something I need to upgrade to Pro to be able to do?

Appreciate any help/info.

Thanks,
Funkwit

You can't actually 'lock' a deck but go to the 'options' section of the 'config' menu and choose 'ask' under your security options. Whenever you go to load a new track onto a deck that already has a song playing you will be asked if you're sure you want to do that first and then have to click yes before you can load the new track.

Actually dizzy, if you change the security setting to "always", it should protect the track. I have Cue, and have it set up this way. No pesky prompt.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'm pretty sure the LE version doesn't have that option on the configs menu, as I thought. Looks like an upgrade to Pro would be the only option in that case - frustrating, as the LE version is pretty much perfect for me, other than that minor issue.

Thanks again,

Hi, I see you own the full cue also (or a recent purchase) this would offer you these options also.
