I have invested $5000 in a mac pro , 8g memory and 3 hard drives to find serious comptability issues with VDJ. I have posted many crashes and my tickets are no longer being answered. I have taken my computer to Apple twice with them telling me there is a compatibility issue but no one will tell me how to solve the problem. I was told my files were corrupt so I have spent 2 weeks fixing and checking them but i still have crashes. I am told to spend more money on windows OS and install bootcamp but then what is the point of getting a mac in the first place. I got one for their SOLID (?) operating system and expandability. I have 10 g of memory and over 3 tb of files. Some of my crashes are posted under CRASH forum. Apple notes that he could find a spec for mac os for virtual dj . COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

Leopard 10.5.6 works fine for audio. I'm assuming you're using video if you have 3tb of files...what are you doing that makes the program crash?
Also, you said that you have 8 gigs of memory, then said you have 10 gigs of memory...
Who told you this? What kind of files? How did you "fix and check" them? Where did you get your files?

I added 8 g to the standard 2 g .
The problem im having is crashes while playing karaoke and video
the guy who answered my support tickets blamed everything but the program
im now installing bootcamp vista in hopes to salvage the money invested in this computer
Im loading files into the playlist and ithe program seems to get hung up on random files(sometimes , butrarely even mp3)
then crashes

have you tried making another account on your mac? Try it with another account first. If that doesn't work, 'archive and install' OSX leopard again. The watch again what happens.

Maybe it isn't the program...
Also, it's a bit unclear...does the program work with regular MP3 files? Regular video files?
If so, your karaoke files are dead.

I'd hate to say this but having 10 GBs of RAM is overkill. That much RAM will allow you to run like 20 applications at the same time, but each application will only run as fast the Macbook's clock speed and the software's abilities. So unless you plan to run VDJ, Photo Shop, check email, use ProTools, surf the net, play Doom, do your taxes, use Garageband, amd burn a DVD ALL AT THE SAME TIME, there is no need for that much RAM.

well you could create a ram drive to run osx :)

The karaoke files work fine on the PC version on my old computer.
The 10 g of ram are so I can download pictures and put them up on vdj while playing
After bootcamp i havent had any issues with the pc version but the mac version crashes all the time
