Topic: How do I get a track to start at a certain point on its own?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello. I want to make a mix cd, but one of the transitions that I'd like to have is one without a crossfade.

I want the first track to play up to a certain point of the song, let's say 1:34:00 for example. Then, I want the second track to start playing immediately at 1:34:01 already beatmatched. When the second track picks up at 1:34:01, the frist track should have stopped on its own. Is there a way to use markers to set times in each track for when one will stop and the other sill start?

Thank you,

I think if you would set cue on 134 to end the first song and set a start cue on the second song. Set your fade time to zero, your crossfader to cut, and put it on automix. That should work. Or, set your space bar to play, mix now, switch decks, and cut useing macros. This is explained in the manual. Cue the 2nd song where u want it to start and at 134 hit the space bar and it will mix now. Those are 2 options. I am fairly new at this too so let me know ifthis is wha you are looking for.

this would be a lot easier if you had a controller. get the hercules RMX. you can do a lot with it. and it's not going to cost you THAT much.
