cool cool. my friend has midi controller when using it. id rather be able to scratch in the other sound while the other one is playing. i think i can still do that but to mix it straight to the left or the right deck i would need to use the shortcut keys. bit of a bummer. so the pioneer 800 would work?what about previous versions of pioneer?i think is it the 700?i think they have one of them in the club also would that work?if it has the midi

Pioneer 700 will work fine ;)
here is the thing you gotta ask yourself, that people have different prefferences about
1) Do you want ONE crossfader that controls audio and video, at the SAME time ?
- if so, you need a midi mixer, prefferably a pro mixer like Ecler or Pioneer with midi
2) If you dont want to mix audio and video at same time, but control the video crossfade seperately (can be used creatively), you could easily use your current mixer (non midi) for audio mixing, and a simple small midi controller for the video crossfade (or even keyboard)
But that depends on you :)
Pioneer DJM-700 has midi though

what i was thinking about was just using the virtual dj to mix in the videos. i can do that easily enough with just the keyboard. and using the serato scratch live to mix with my audo!!! then i dont need the midi controller and i get the best of both worlds :)

This is crazy i pay over $500.00 dollars for my numark virtual vinyl.I try to download virtual dj ,not the demo. They telling me i have pay $49.00.THEY are the same software just market by differentcompany.

Serato is not made by Atomix (VirrtualDJ). And Serato have choosen to not allow any other soundcard than their own. So thats why its locked to their interface.
And you dont need to download Virtual DJ, if you have Numark Virtual Vinyl. Its the SAME software ;)

If you are using a midi mixer, it can be done, otherwise you would have to use a keyboard shortcut. What mixer do you have?
