Topic: Automix - is there a way (shortcut key) to automix to the next number

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

In version 3.x you could click 'automix" and VDJ would crossfade to the next number in the list.
I don't find this functionality in version 5.2.1 (except for changing the automix exit point - which is cumbersome)

Yes
I use the spacebar
Click config/keyboard shortcuts
Then find the key you want to use making sure it is not already assigned or you will multi command with embarrassing results.
Click change, select all and find the one that says auto mix_next.
Then click ok

You can use Ctrl+Space=Automix, Alt+Space=Mix.

Or you could set up a Keyboard short cut for the action mix_next

Description of this action

Quote :

if the non-playing deck has a song loaded that's already been played, load a new one from the playlist
then, smooththly crossfade from the playing deck to the other, using beatsync, if both have enough beat.

*edit* Rick beat me to it, lol

I personally deleted all the shortkeys that I would not use on my keyboard since I use more than just my computer ( spacebar, S,L,X,C,V...) and I reasigned them to hot keys and other functions. In your case automix functions...

CTRL-ESCAPE, ALT-ESCAPE are meant to enable/disable automix, I'm looking for a way to go to the next track in the playlist, but didn't find any key in the keyboard shortcut overview menu ...

you could always double click on the tune you want to bring in...

I think that is exactly what he is looking for a shortcut for (the action that would be the same as the double click in the playlist).

hehe, i know brian...

If the automix is activated you can use the shortcut automix_skip and it will start the next song in the list.

That worked - thanks.

Cool man glad all is well now. That is a new shortcut that I just learned as well:)
