VDJ 8 id3 Tag support info....
this is information i have found through trial and error on my own if something is found to be incorrect let me know so i can fix it.

-MP3 Files
i started with a file with no tags MP3 format
load file in VDj8
tag file completely all fields on the tag editor window filled

Check the file in mp3tag and the results are

VDJ8 uses ID3v2.3

it fills these fields in the ID3 tag

these field are stored in the VDJ8 Database and not in ID3 tags

any additional tags that you may have in a mp3 file will not be read by VDJ8 it has no place to store the information

When loading a MP3 file with APEv2 tags VDJ ignores all tag information in the file.

When loading a Mp3 File with ID3v1 Tags VDJ ignores all tag information in the file.

When loading a MP3 file with ID3v2.4 VDJ8 reads all tags and stores them in the database.

When updating a file that contains ID3v2.4 tags VDJ keeps tags ID3v2.4.

So my conclusion through exhaustive testing is the official supported tags in VDJ8 are ID3v2.3

- FLAC Tags seem to be fully supported with all the same fields as mp3

- M4A files Tags partially supported
