Video Coffin Build 3700's

Wed 21 Apr 10 @ 4:43 am

This coffin I can carry with one hand, but not far...
It dollies on a hand truck and when it goes to the piano stand, it pivots onto it from a vertical position, so i never lift it.
Its the perfect hight on a standard table and the 19\" mixer really doesn\'t put the decks too far apart unless you are a smaller person with short arms.

This is currently set up with wireless audio, but the only wires that will be exposed are two xlr\'s going to my drive rack plus one svideo when doing video shows.
This will have a right angle power plug when I am done, this feeds a power strip inside.

This is a TT coffin that I used because I wasn\'t going to toss out because I was \"all set\" with vinyl.
I obtained custom right angle usb and audio cables so they fit nicely

I have a Pioneer DJM 3000 19\" but chose the Numark AVM02 because of the video input and effect options it offers.
That Pioneer is for sale cheap and is in new condition.

This is some fine running gear that brings out the best if Virtual Dj.

It is an absolute pleasure to mix video with this.
The Mac version has come a long way as have mappers.
They are working splendidly together for me, kudos to the developers on this one, I know they went all out to make it the way it is.

Better Yet being Mac is fussy about hubs, (kept dropping that express card usb adapter)

It\\\'s a flush mounted 7 port powered usb hub with two up top for easy access

Now we have usb ports with room to spare and simplified connections

So I find being out of view of the screens a bit tough when mixing effects and transitions not knowing what is actually on the screen.
The VDJ monitors are only going to show me what is coming off the software output. So to have an actual video monitor became a bit of a necessity. I used to have a 3 screen monitor that took a dive leaving me with 2 of 3 lcd\'s one of which I gave away...good thing.
So I changed the gender of the video output and made it the right length so I could have it in the right view and voila, the actual output is now on my working area.
