I can't stress this point enough. In order to get the best functionality of the latest Mac update versions it's best to uninstall the previous version and do a clean install with the new. Be sure to save important folders such as samples and effects and your XML files to be copied into the new installations folders.

My thinking was as soon as I upgraded to the newer versions the crashes would just go away or were automatically fixed...wrong! the problems persisted and I almost gave up on VDJ. I tried a clean install on the latest version and viola...all fixed.
