Hi! My name is Andrea and I'm a digital-jockeying addicted, so addicted that I joined the DigitalJockey.it team since it was born! :D Someone might have already seen my name due to some VirtualDJ plugins, even if I like digging into the whole Net, thus someone might have seen my nickname elsewhere... I like any kind of electronic music, expecially Techno, Trance, Dance, Hardstyle, Psy/goa, Dubstep and all the related sub-styles. House styles aren't bad, even though I got bored of common borderline productions made nowadays. Oh, this is common in all music genres... and I always try to keep away from tracks lacking creativity or quality ;-) I like Do-it-Yourself projects, and I've already made some. The very first was GPMC, a MIDI 1.0 controller with 32 knobs and 96 (up to 128) pushbuttons. The second was a plugin card (profile image on the left) for a kids keyboard I've had since ~1994 - a Bontempi System 5 - which transformed it from a low-quality synth into an USB-MIDI controller with additional knobs and LCD display. The latest nice project I've made is WizardFX, another USB-MIDI controller which provides two distance sensors, used to modulate MIDI Pitch parameters by moving hands freely into the air. FYI, there's a video on YouTube whose description links to the whole documentation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e07668QPBnY At the moment I'm a postgraduate Computer Engineering student at the "Politecnico di Milano" in Milan, Italy. I'll put all my effort to become an embedded systems engineer, or similar, and I dream to get so far. I hope to enjoy the World soon in the widest manner! Despite the wrong things that happen due to very very bad minds (death to them!), the Universe would be a great place to live! |
