I'm Scott and I am a professional working DJ based in the south of England. I've been DJ'ing about 19 years and play all sorts of music at all kinds of venues including bar, club and mobile doing both audio and video work. I work for Atomix Productions in a support role and am continuing my plugin development at an improved rate! If you want to keep up to speed with all my latest developments, including plugin thoughts, releases and so on then you can follow me on twitter - SBDJ. Please do not post support questions to my wall: It's not a great way to have a conversion, please either PM me or use an appropriate forum thread. |

I've come across a few users now who have had problems with the Virtual DJ hanging at the external devices stage.
In Audio MIDI Setup under OS X, the MIDI Studio also hangs.
This problem is caused by a problem with some drivers. To fix:
Open a terminal
sudo -s
cd /Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers
Move all the files in this folder to a backup folder. Retest.
Now you can move the files back one by one until you get issues - usually the Digidesign ones.

Mixer: Denon DN-MC6000
Mixer: Ecler Evo 5
This mixer is fantastic. The high points for me are:
* A full built in high quality audio interface
* Masses of MIDI controls
* Switchable MIDI/configuration overlays
* Good clear LCD for controlling MIDI and effects
* Traktor Scratch certified, allowing timecode use on just two channels.
* Wet/Dry crossfader for effects and individual fx level for each channel
* Firewire connectivity (with a built in fw hub).
Downsides:
* Support from Ecler has dried up in terms of driver/firmware updates
* No x64 drivers.
Controller: Denon DN-HC4500
You're all obviously aware of this controller. I'm very happy with this controller - it's completely mapped up with VDJScript to work exactly how I want it to work.
