Moretta

"I would start by saying, ever since I have use of reason I have loved music, media, and technology! DeeJaying just put all those things I love together!"

From an early age, Maximus★Moretta has wanted to be involved in the entertainment industry. Unaware of whether it were to sing, dance or act, DJ'ing, he found, he had a biological aptitude for. It was natural for him to be center stage conducting music; beat-mixing, blending, or mashing up songs specializing in the Latin genre. But don’t let that confuse you! Maximus is no stranger to any type of music, or any language it might be sung in! He is as comfortable as a fish in water regardless of what musical environment he might be placed in.

As early as 15, Maximus★Moretta found himself deejaying parties around his local neighborhood. He began with events such as sweet sixteens (quinces), school dances, fund-raisers, birthdays, house parties or corporate events; (with guests numbering in the triple digits at most). He was armed with just his desktop computer, fairly new deejay software (which at the time was the Atomix, est. 2000), an amp a friend had lent him, and two big, wooded, three-way speakers from his mother’s apartment. Maximus★Moretta had found himself hosting and DJ'ing parties the like of which hundreds of people that had attended still talk about today!

Once graduated from high school, he was faced with reality. He made a decision and chose to enlist in the U.S. Air Force. It wasn't until a year and a half into his enlistment that a local friend became ill, making him unable to DJ an event: Latin Night at Osan AFB, South Korea. Stepping up to the plate, Maximus jumped at the opportunity and began to deejay again. This event made Maximus rekindle his love for DJ'ing; Maximus had been reborn!

Maximus★Moretta is now one of the premier, up and coming Latin deejays in North West Florida, DJ'ing in places Like: Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Destin, Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach and venues such as "Nightown" of Destin, FL, "Club ICE" and "Will Call" of Pensacola, FL, and "Penthouse Night Club" of Fort Walton Beach, FL. It may seem that Maximus has come a long way in his deejaying career, but he can assure us that..."This is just the beginning!"

Here are my 2 cent, you keep hearing the same thing over and over again, So listen up Atomix!

1.re-brand the program! (change the name "VirtualDJ" it has a bad stigma behind it.)

Perception is reality; in the entertainment industry!

I'm talking about, now a days; you could be the one of the four DJs at the Club using VDJ and be killin it! and get a bad rap because of it.

2. Less is More! (make it simple for the eye to see, some of the VDJ7 skins are way too busy, for a pro DJ to use at Club)

Because why in the hell do I need a skin that looks like my CD Players or turntables if I have my CD Players or turntables right front of me! it looks cutie! but it's pointless! DJs need a clear way to read the information: bpm, cues, waveforms, effects etc.

3. Make the Difference between "Pro" and "Amateur DJ" software very clear and distinctive.

4. F*&#ing endorse some really Good! world renown DJs, show the people who's using their software to pack their Stadium size concerts up with it! you need over the shoulder shots of DJ,________ (insert your favorite DJ name) killing it with the program.

These are just two of the improvements I'll like to see for myself.

1. More support for Macs
2. Colored Wave forms, for many reasons and beside music is made up of various musical instruments & sounds. one solid colored waveform really doesn't do it any justice!

Maximus★Moretta! Out!
