After installing the Newest VDJ Pro 6.0.8. Software update. I have regained full confidence in this software. I had been experiencing some issues w/ timecoded viynl, sound glitches, etc and that was with my old PC setup. I have now upgraded and bought a new laptop running Win-7 with a 2.2 Dual Core processor. After my gig this past Saturday (Which I played for a straight 7 hours) I was truely impressed with this software. Everything ran smoothly & Flawlessly and I am Happy to say I'm glad I chose this Product over Serato which most other DJ's Use. Now I'm convinced that Virtual DJ is one the best products on the market. I haven't started running video yet but that's next on my list. Keep Rocking all you Virtual DJ's.... I know it can only get better from here. Peace.

I would like some feed-back on Windows 7 for all those who are using it with VDJ 6. Is anyone have any problems? Some Pro's & Con's would be Great. Thanks.
"I've got VDJ 6 & the DJ RMX Console. I've got my eye's set on a new dual core system running Win 7. but I want to make sure that I can run VDJ 6 with the RMX Console. I wonder if any one else is having trouble with Win 7. I still have a copy of XP just in case..."

I've done quit a bit of weddings, so here's a few pointers that should help you out...
- Alway's sign a contract and get a Deposit before the event. If you dont have a contract you can get basic formats online, then change it to your liking. Find out how many guest they are expecting...
(I always like to go see the place where the event is being held so I know where I'm setting up, what sound system to bring or if I need anything extra)
- Ask if the couple has any special song request (1st dance, 2nd Dance, Line Dance, Etc.)
- Invest in some good quality Wireless Mic's. Besides the wedding party, other guest might want to do a toast or say something.
- Always Dress Appropriately (I usually wear a suite, the tie is optional)
- Very important "Play Age Appropriate Music, nothing vulgar" as there are family members of all ages attending. From time to time you may get some guest that approach you and ask you to play certain songs. (Always be polite and use your Discretion)
- Bring Business Cards to pass out. (If the guest like your style you will usually get 1 or 2 inquiries about doing other events) use something conservative to pass out at weddings with your contact information on it.
BTW: Food & Drinks are usually included, someone one from the party will usually come over and ask if you need anything and be kind enough to bring it to you.
Alot of weddings these day a becoming less & less the traditional style so be prepared for what ever... and HAVE FUN.

I was going through my email account and come accross an email I recieved from the Virtual DJ Support Team earlier this month on how to tweek your system. It's a wonder why I haven't try this before now but I'm gona try this out this evening and see if this helps me out. I'm also posting the original message I got so maybe it will Help someone else, who knows... Good Luck.
There are tweeks available that will disable unnecessary windows features available providing the headroom to make things work properly. I would first ask that you optimize your computer with the guide below, it is in Adobe pdf format and you may have to download the Adobe reader to open. It's free on the net.Its well written and easy to follow.
