DHoude

Been a DJ for over a year now. Having fun with it. I got my start with DJ equipment and Lights from a haunted hay ride that I ran for a few years. I figure that most of the stuff just sits for the other 11 months of the year so why not. Bought the RMX after my first wedding so I had a good opinion of what to look for and the rest is history. Now I mix Video and have an NS7FX.

I work with barcode scanners and computer networks full time, so this is just fun. I like being the life of the party and the voyuer in me likes to watch my subjects dance for me. All kidding aside, I think that is what I love about it though.

Anyway, hobbies are archery, all forms of bikes (unicycles too), motocross and off roading, snowmobiles, home theaters (big audiophile). That about sums me up. Keep em spinnin!

What's Up DHOUDE,
I've done quit a bit of weddings, so heres a few pointer that should help you out...

- Alway's sign a contract and get a Deposit before the event. If you dont have a contract you can get basic formats online, then change it to your liking.
(I always like to go see the place where the event is being held so I know where I'm setting up, what sound system to bring or if I need anything extra)
- Ask if the couple has any special song request (1st dance, 2nd Dance, Line Dance, Etc)
- Invest in some good quality Wireless Mic's. Besides the wedding party, other guest might want to do a Toast or say something.
- Always Dress Appropriately (I usually wear a suite, the tie is optional)
- Very important "Play Age Appropriate Music, nothing vulgar" as there are family members of all ages attending.
- Bring Business Cards to pass out. (If the guest like your style you will usually get 1 or 2 inquiries about doing other events)

As for as your Logo, I Like it but at a wedding venue other people might not like it so much. I would keep the logo but maybe use something a little more conservative to pass out at weddings.

Good Luck...
