DHoude

My name is Don and I am 31. Currently I work with barcode scanners and wireless networks full time. I am considering DJing as a side buisness but I am holding off for a bit longer to get some more experience. I got stated with acuostics and automation for home theaters (main hobby). In 2008 I got my hands on some DJ gear for a Haunted hay ride that I run. So I was thinking in this week economy, my own buisness would really help and I have allot of fun with it.

Which brings me to my logo, I figure I got my start in this DJ thing because of the hayride. So... I decided that everybody would remember a wedding DJ handing out skeleton buisness cards. What do you think?

My weakest point is my Mcee skills still, I am looking to hire an MC for most of the weddings that I will do. But I am looking for wedding scripts or advice on how to lead the show. I don't think I know it all, I learn somthing new everyday (now that VDJ 6 is out). So if you have advice that can help me start my new buisness I would greatly appreciate it! Maybe I can trade you for something I know. Take care and thanks for reading.

If you ever need advise on Weddings let me know anytime. there are things that you will need to do as an Entertaiment Coordinator, that will reqire you to MC. You might consider a Wedding format that you should be a guide for you as well as the other vendors, and the Wedding party as well. And number one a well thought out Contract. Just a few of amy things to consider? Thanks

Kewl logo dude! When it comes to Emceeing a wedding or whatever there really is no particular rule of thumb, just be yourself. You wanted to be a DJ because of the "people person" within your personality, let it flow naturally and it just comes to you, naturally! Practice at home on your mic. I added you as a friend btw. Thx,
DJ RuDe
