Hello
Spinning on the NEW wheels of steel......NUMARK NS6
Using iMac with Lion
A little about me:
Though I used to DJ professionally in the late 80's doesn't mean that I can't still DJ. I love to DJ, it's my escape to a world of my own. I started out with the Wheels of Steel for those who know and those who don't....Technics MK 1200. I lost my equipment to a fire in the late 90's. Then around 2004, I found Virtual DJ. At first it was a battle coming from vinyl and turntables but I learned the new world of mixing on a computer. I love it!!! Not because it's easy, cause it's not. But because I don't have to have all the equipment to play my music. I don't have to go through hundreds of 12 inches to find the next record to play. It's a new world out there for DJ's. I see it when I go to clubs, lounges, and bars. As of late 2011 year, I purchased my first piece of DJ equipment since the fire.....Numark NS6. It is very overwhelming with all the sliders, buttons and lots of lights (LED's). I chose this controller (Mixer to me) because compared to my previous equipment (construction wise) and price I paid back then, the price of the NS6 was actually less then the equipment I paid for back then. The construction of the NS6 feels really solid. Those who know, can understand the cost of 1200's, needles, a decent mixer, and a coffin surpasses the cost of the NS6. That's all about me for now. Thanks for reading this and keep spinning on the Wheels of Steel.
