Maybe a daft question, but is there a general life expectancy of timecoded vinyls, or how often would anyone advice to replace them with new ones. Does the code pressed on them ever de-grade in time and use.
I use them once a week at my Friday night gig and 3 or 4 times in the week at home. I just wondered last night.

i would say until they don't read anymore, but it depends on use, the needle, and how much weight used on the tone arm. Rule of thumb.... just make sure you have extra. I use one side at a time but i have had a pair that i scratch an beat up pretty well and they are still good after a year.
