Topic: Gave my notice yesterday....

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

After 21 years at this club, I gave my notice that August is my last month. I have decided to go to school, to be a barber/hairdresser. That's right, as you know, my ex wife and I bought a hair salon/spa in March. Since neither one of us has a license, we are dependent upon others to operate. We must have a manager with a license for at least 3 years. So the two of us enrolled in school. Here is the scary part, I won't have a steady income. So now I must hit the pavement looking for a night gig, which I hate. It just means that they have been drinking all day, and are now drunk at the start of my shift. I am not expecting any help from my club, as the owner and I do not get along at all. However, we will see. I have decided not to worry until the end of the month. I will still do my mobile thing but need a few nights a week. So there you have it, wish me luck, and hope you don't see me come into your club for an audition.

Yeah, good luck Ric, It takes a very brave man to do that, and after all those years served.

Hope it all goes well for you mate, but's it's abit to far for me to come to get a No 1 and a shave mate.

Anyone care to start a pool as to when Rick's former(soon to be) Club owner calls him and asks him to cover shifts?

I'll say 2 months at most.
