Topic: IRQ Issues - Need Help

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

ok first off i am currently using serato at the club but heard good things about your product and wanted to give it a test drive! I have had many issues but thought I had them all figured out until now. Seemed to be working fine finally removed the static sound by reading up and finding out my ground wires werent grounded properly and everything was working good until i loaded up videos! seems my graphics card and my firewire soundcard are causing conflicts. They are both on IRQ 16 how can i fix this? I have read the sticky that skyfxl put up but seems in vista I am not able to uncheck the auto assign

I keep the wifi, anti virus off when I was testing this
if i turn off firewire i wouldnt be able to use my soundcard! you think dissableing it and reinabbling it might switch IRQ?
Power mgmt is set to never

Like I said it works great with video and I am able to scratch and all but after a while it just starts to turn to static sound and the only
thing i can figure out is it has to have something to do with the Video Card and Soundcard sharing the same IRQ!

Skyfxl can you help by any chance? I read your tutorial on how to change IRQ but where the option is to uncheck the box of auto sign
IRQ it is shadded and not accessible. I am using Vista by the way. I really like the program but seems like it is alot of trouble people have to
go thru to get it to work. Its the only downside compared to Serato....

My demo runs out this Sunday please help

i didn't know if your card was firewire 'til you said so ......mine is also

you might need to contact serato

was your antivirus on during the install ? you might just need to turn it off and reinstall

i'm gonna see what i can find about changing irq's in Vista .....

I couldnt figure out how to change IRQ's in vista but could find the drivers if I wanted to use Windows XP if that would make changing the IRQ easier? What is weird I was watching the latency tester and everything seems fine until I throw on a video so it makes me think that with both the soundcard and videocard working at the same time its too much being on the same IRQ. If I am not mistaking seems my USB ports which I have my external harddrive on is on this IRQ as well so everything is running thru this.
