Community,

PhantomDJ has made a Denon HC-4500 mapper for VJ and VDJ. The mapper is in it's final stages and will be released on Friday. I've been testing the beta .dll over the last day. All I can say is WOW!

The mapper has all modes (audio/browser/effects/video) and the sample mode should be completed by Friday.

Now rather than focusing on coming to the VJ website 20x's a day to look for the NEW JP Boggis mapper I can get back to DJ'iing.

I can't connect the link but just go to the PCDJ community forum and look for Denon HC-4500 Mapper!!!!

I just read in Denons forum that still have some bugs:

"Please note that display some elements might not work as expected ..."
- the progress bar does not grow, or simply does not appear.
- in "loop mode" when the player is not a loop. the displey not notified the size of the loop. or not changing loop when running params.

I preffer to wait for Boggis's mapper or still using native support that has working flawless for me.

Most of the bugs have been fixed. There are only a couple of "minor" bugs remaining which will be fixed by end of week when the final release occurs.

You may have to wait a long time for JPBoggis's mapper I have seen any update for a while now.

Does it do all the necessary VirtualDJ things ?

That mapper is being produced with PCDJ VJ features as priority with some VirtualDJ capabilities as a secondary support.

Yes it does. The only secondary mode would be the sampler that isn't part of PCDJ. PhantomDJ indicated it will be part of his final release on Friday. With the current beta version, I'm able to control Video Effects, Audio Effects, Browser, Video transitions, Wet & Dry Controls, Loops and toggle the jog wheel to Pitch Bend, Scratch and Browser. It truly does everything in a mapper to maximize the HC-4500. I just got done playing around with it for the past two hours. :)

No Need To Wait For JP Boggis's Mapper????

I Think people really need to look in the downloads and try Sir Boggis's Mapper, then we may all see that it was well worth the wait.

The HC4500 is now by far the best controller on the planet when combined with this mapper, ok it may take a little longer to get your head round it all, but the basics are easy and the manual tells you everything you need to know, all i can say is Download, Read and ENJOY!!!

Mr Boggis is the mapper king and after his efforts with this one he always will be!!!

Thank-You SO SO SO SO much for all your effort and hard work JP.

I'm completely humbled. I bow down to you Mr. JPBoggis.

You mapper will take a while to understand in it's entirety but I can say to you that you didn't miss a thing. The wait was well worth it.

You are the KING OF MAPPERS!!!!

Well done and thank you again!

whats the freeze problem Rick?? if it's the one where vdj freezes using native support then you will need to up-date the HC4500 firmware, this was all covered a couple of months ago, have a look through the forums, other than that there aint any freeze problems....... i don't think??

Absolutly amazing work JBoggis, I went out and purchased VirtualDJ Pro in light of this release! :)

One suggestion, the fast search buttons << & >> on the HC4500 use to skip forward and back exactly 4 beats. In doing so you keep the CBG bars on beat even when navigating back and forth in a song. I use this feature ALL the time so if there's anyway you could incorporate it, i'd be forever in your debt! Other then that EXCELLENT work! so many options!

Yes, this feature could be added to the next version (Perhaps JOGMODE + << >>, with a user parameter to turn it on permanently.)

Excellent, please make a note of it and I look forward to seeing it in the next version!

I'd also like to see a little improvement on folder navigation. It's incredibly cumbersome to have to hold down jog mode and press << and >> to expand and collapse a folder. The default HC4500 implementation let you expand and collapse a folder simply by pushing the parameters knob in, while holding the back button of course. Something along these line would make browsing much less confusing and a lot faster, thanks!

i agree with the last comment...about expand and collapse a folder. Using the parameters knob was better.....

That too can be added to the next version of the mapper.
