Hello.
I'm new to this Virtual DJ World so please do not make me feel stupid :-)

My simple question is, What kind of soundcard i should get ? I heard many people complain about their Maya 44 USB Soundcard.

I am looking for a USB soundcard for my T60 Lenovo IBM Laptop with at least 4 ins & 4 outs because I want to have 2 channels working in my pioneer mixer.

I am running Windows XP (SP3), 1.84ghz Dual Core (T2400) & 2GB of RAM (667MHZ)

I Appriciate your help,
Danny.

Just using a mixer perhaps a DJ.io

If you want timecodes how about a VV box aslo includes the pro software.

Do you use a controller or your mouse? new controllers have soundcards already installed so you would not need to invest in a soundcard. run the out of the controller into the pioneer and then use the crossfader on the controller to mix.Just one of many options. I use a dac controller with a giga port soundcard going into my mackie mixer. Going to purchase a controller soon that does it all.

Im in the same boat as him somewhat. I plan on getting a Pioneer mixer but at the same time I would like a controller for VDJ. So really I can get by on a Hercules MK2? I wont need an additional soundcard?

The MKII has an integral soundcard and as such in theory can stand alone. There is, however, a great many users here who prefer using it with another mixer.

That was my plan, that along side a pioneer mixer with hopefully some CDJs.

I use dual numark I-cdx's. No sound card in them.
