I use Virtual DJ w/ serato soundcard. Just purchased a new laptop and it has vista ultimate 64bit. Does not recognize the driver for installation. any recommendations. Should i take my computer back and get 32 bit vista? |

I would take it back. You arent gonna find very many soundcards that have drivers for 64 bit. |

I agree, I think it is early for any 64bit OS. |

This is a Serato box - contact Serato about support for their box. If they don't have 64-bit drivers then you need to go to a 32-bit solution. |

Well I use XP Pro 64 bit edition and have non issues with VDJ and with the Denon's HC-4500 sound card. Pure stability, for me is the most stable windows version. |

I use XP 32bit and it is rock solid also, it's all by tweaking and leaving machine clean just for DJ-ing ;) |

i had to downgrade to vista 32bit for this reason !!
its stated on there website somewhere that they have no plans for 64bit drivers.
" Scratch LIVE currently only has a driver for 32-bit Vista and will not work on the 64-bit version. If you have a 64-bit version of Vista installed then you will need to find your installation DVD, insert the DVD, restart Windows, and it should give you the option of installing the 32-bit version.
A word of caution, if you have been using a 64-bit version of Vista and have saved files then you must back-up these files to an external drive or burn to DVD, as re-installing Windows will delete everything. Here is what Microsoft have to say about the differences between 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft's FAQ on 32-bit & 64-bit Windows."
