Will this be good enough quality for projecting video?

Hi
Do you mean monitor or projector resolution? DVD quality is 800x600, so that is even higher which is good.

well that answers my question. i seen a laptop with the 1440 x 900 resolution with a very good graphics card which i was hoping would handle this program for video mixing. the laptop is like $1250 and they said that the monitor resolustion was the only draw back. the next step up cost $2000 and i can drop that if I plan on buying the laptop and this program. the graphics card in this machine is a NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800M GTS with 512MB of GDDR3 discrete video memory.

Yes it will work....but....

Native DVD res is 720x480.
If you up it, you are gaining nothing, in fact you are over taxing your system by stretching the image and distorting it somewhat by altering the aspect ratio.

In display properties you can set your monitor res for what ever (at least 1024x768) and the second display will probably wind up at 800x600 unless you go into the card properties and specify a particular resolution that is not shown in the simple settings.
