Topic: Dj console Mk 2 + vdj pro + external mixer

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hi guys.

i was home edition user b4, but I lent vdj pro from a friend to see if its worth buying.

right now im testin the following setup.

the dj console output 1/2 is connected to my mixer' s left input.
the output 3/4 is connected to my mixer's right input.

well in vdj pro i selected the option external mixer and mk2 as soundcard. the crossfader of the console is turned off!

everything is working pretty fine: i can mix with the external mixer and also use the functions of the console ( e.g scratch, effect buttons).

well everything except one thing.

when i got the crossfader of the external mixer totally faded to the left, you hear what is played on the left deck of VDJ. well thats the way it is supposed to be. BUT if I play around with the rigth jog wheel or press the play button on the right side, to prepare the song on the right for mixing, it affects the left side as well.

easily said: im tryin to get the RIGHT song in position with the RIGHT jogwheel while the LEFT song is playing BUT it also scratches the left signal.... thats really weird.!
usually the right jog should only influence the right side!

help is appreciated

excuse my english i hope u can understand me

Open the mk2 cvontrol panel and select external mixer mode.
