I think I found a glitch with 5.07.
When ever I use the “Showlogo” plug-in on my videos,
And go to a song with no video then back to a video I get a soft crash and an error message. I’m using Vista, that may be part of the problem. But you can add that to your glitch list for 5.1

I think DJ Cel is currently recommending not to use Showlogo...

Hmmm...Come to think of it, I think I was using it when I had a crash last night (but with 5.0.6). I guess I'll steer clear of it until we hear some news. Thanks for the info fellows!

no it was in fact for my plugin ShowCover but only in some cases ;-)

Well it's strange. I will try to reproduce it

It would be nice that you describe what you did before error pops out, that will help Dj Cel a lot ;)

Sorry DJCel, I'm easily confused ;)

Hi Guys,

I have always loved DJ Cel's Showlogo Plugin, the only thing i miss from the previous program i used is that you were able to be able to get the logo to rotate and also you could set the time showed during each track. This was cool as you could position it to hide your music video supplyers logo if they had a crappy logo.

i would look forward to seeing what he comes up in the future.

Cheers

Um...so should we or should we not use the ShowLogo Plugin with 5.0.7?

Try it. If it crashes on your machine, don't use it. If it works, you are good to go.

Obviously, but I don't want to find out 3 hours into a show...

I'm going to test but was hoping for feedback on personal experiences.

Well I tested it last night for like 4 hours going back & forth between auido & video with no problems what so ever.

Good news: VERY VERY COOL Plug-in (Downloaded this week and tried it last night).

Bad News: Experienced my first Full Blown Crash last night about an hour into the night (No freezing video, no program shut down, but a sudden full PC black screen with utter silence in the middle of a video requiring RESTART). Thank God I had a back-up CD in the CD player ready to go.

Don't have much time/interest to troubleshoot since I have to play again this Saturday. Sooooo

Here is my silly question:
HOW DO I DELETE THE SHOWLOGO PLUG-IN ???

I have a vague idea how to, but would rather have instructions from someone who knows for sure.

Thanks in advance.

Just dont activate it.

Last night I experienced a monetary freeze (about 1 min) while activating the Showlogo on and off. To be safe, I played a CD and restarted.
After restarting I did not activate the Showlogo at all then the CRASH I described above happened.

I certainly will not activate it, but I would like to totally remove it. Better be safe.

Thank you in advance for any guidance to delete Showlogo plug-in.

Go to My Documents>VirtualDJ>Plugins>VideoEffect, and delete ShowLogo.dll

I've been using this plugin now for a few weeks with absolutely no issues what-so-ever with 5.0.7 & XP Pro.
