Hello,
I have browsed the forum to find an answer on my question but I failed.
I have a macbook and am willing to go for Virtual DJ as i heard such a great stories about it
Though I first want to try it and see if it is working well for me (with my HC4500). I can only find the PC version demo.
Isn't there any MAC version which I can play with?
Thank you for your constructive answer.

I second that.... Is there a MAC demo available yet? If not, can you tell us when there will/might be.
Cheers! |

The latest Version 5 X is very stable and gives you alot of
functionality
The macbook pro will work great with it for audio and video mixing.
I personally use the V5 mac version full time and have no issues with it and am very confident to take it out live.
You might want to consider if you would like to get hardware such as a controller , or a sound-card to enable you to use time-codes or headphone preview or mixing with an external mixer to your preference.
Unlike most products updates since the very begging are free and are likely to remain so , so you are making a good investment with your purchase.
Learn more about hardware here:

I hope it will be available soon ... I try before I buy!
I noticed this forum gives a great feedback compared to other software-forums.
So if VDJ does the trick for me (mixing with DN-HC4500) - I buy it.
But I need full working demo first

Hello there,
I see from previous posts a demo for the mac is due soon. I would just like to know if a date has been confirmed yet. I have tried other software on my laptop and to be honest Virtual DJ has come out tops for me, hence I am anxious to try it on my macbook before I make the purchase.
If it is now available can you provide a link please.
Many thanks,

Hello All;
I am also waiting on a Mac Version Demo. Will you update this Forum and include a link when it is available? Also, per the suggestion above regarding hardware, I already have a XSession Pro which according to the link provided may be used with VDJ. (Please confirm this) Also, can you recommend a good sound card for head phone preview? I currently have a MacBook Pro and can't currently do this since I have only the one internal Sound Card. Everyone hears my "train wreck" so all I can do is a simple cross fade between songs. Finally does VDJ include an Internet Streaming option in within the software?
Thanks,

Yes the Xsession works fine
DJ.io is a good card to use for simple headphone preview
Yes it includes a streaming system |

Will time-code records work with the mac-demo?
It would be realy nice to be able to try that out by buying a timecode record(less expensive than buying the whole kit), try it with my soundcard and if it works then buy the program.
realy looking forward to the demo. |

Well, I own a Macbook Pro, a Denon HC4500 and Virtual DJ.....
....and I am about to buy a PC to run both VDJ on and be able to use my HC4500....so that probably gives you some sort of idea as to where thing are at. There's no native support on the Mac for the Denon HC4500, but you can midi map it. However, you don't get the lights, etc., and the same experience that you would if there were native support.
I have been a mac owner for years (own both a 24" imac and I am on my 4th macbook pro) but between wanting to use my 4500 and also getting some DMX Lighting software, Dell's are so cheap now for a good amount of specs on it, so I was thinking of actually just picking up a PC....
