Topic: Denon HC4500 Don´t work with PCDJ VJ & Virtual Dj - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I bought a Denon HC4500 and PCDJ VJ and later Virtual Dj.

Since September I had tried to make it work and patiently waited for
New updates that was promised to solved all problems.
Now with the latest updates Virtual Dj rev 6 & PCDJ VJ rev 6 and
It still just doesn’t work????

I play for about 10 min and then it “hangs” incredible.
I have a pc that is far beyond the recommended prestandard, but it doesn’t
Help at all.

I tried to get help from support but they stop answer me?? The PCDJ VJ
Support don’t even exist!!
I think its so f....g irresponsible that Denon, PCDJ & Virtual Dj don’t admit
That Denon HC4500 DON’T work with, PCDJ VJ & Virtual Dj.
Its just a little experiment we consumers pay for!!

The only way I have found to make it work is to make my own midimapp.
Hurray no light on the bottoms etc. That’s not what you want when you
Buy a expensive midi like Denon HC4500.

I think that I am not the only one that is pissed out there.

I am glad that I have some cds and vinyl as backup!!

Actually, they have admitted there are problems, and if you did a bit of searching you would see that.

Also have a look at this:

http://www.denondjforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=8606

Particularly this post by Denon:

DENON wrote :
We will release a new firmware version within a week as "WE DID" take responsibility to correct a small unknown issue that was brought to our attention.

Then:

patmulligan wrote :
So this small issue? does this stop the controller from working with VDJ?

Then:

DENON wrote :
By using MIDI mapping method, No.
By using Native support, Yes or sometimes.

I hope that helps :)

Hello Denon!

Thank you for take notice of my problem.
This is more than any one ex PCDJ has done lately.

You must understand that a person that buy this
Denon HC 4500 and PCDJ VJ or Virtual dj have spent
money to get some good dj pro tools.

And we just don’t accept that it get hanged up all the time.
I am a pro dj I can’t take that risks when I play at the clubs.

You sell these two products on your webs. The product should
Be working and not hang up.

So do you think your admittment is good enough after all
This time.
Rev6 is released and it still doesn’t work!!

I also think that its time to be honest and tell that you been
Blaming each other.
Denon says it’s the soft wear companies fault and PCDJ blame Denon. Admit that!!

This is a hang up:
It hangs up and blocks the soft wear so hard that you have to restart
Denon HC4500 and of course it turns of the soundcard that’s inside
The midi player. It gets quite silent at the CLUB!!! That’s a hang up!!

What to do for the moment:
I have to use my midimapp I made.
I use a separate sound card Maya USB 44 to not risk a crash with no sound!

So Denon do you thing your admittment is good enough.

I guess that there are a lot of Dj that have spent money and a lot of
time to fix this problem but NO.

Finally if you want I can reg my reg numbers, but would you give me back
My money if I give you back my Denon HC4500 & PCDJ VJ etc..?

Thanks

look vm it was not a personnel swipe at you, if you have legit software why not reg' it was all i was saying, especially informing you of the goodies your missing out on, as in the past people have come on the forums explaining they've spent x amount of pounds/dollars on hardware then it is finally revealed that the root of the problem is in them using cracked software, so if you register people will know that is not the case with you, nothing more or nothing less was intended

Ok TAYLA!

I understand, you see I am a little bit disappointed.
I have tried to get support for about 5 months and no
Result!

Every time I asked for help I left my reg number name
And e-mail (you know its hard wear reg.) (PCDJ VJ)
I know that PCDJ support knows how I am.

As I see it I would like see some responsible for PCDJ to take care
Of this “hang-up problem”

As I understand you also have a licence so I think maybe you should consider
that you have a soft wear that don’t do what it promise.

Thanks

@dj-virtual-master

Would you please stop crying. Maybe next time, you will do a little more research, before you pluck down your hard earned money. No, you wanted to be the first to have that controller. Nobody here forced you to get that controller, you made that decision all by yourself. Take responsibility for your actions, and stop blaming others. There have been concerns about this controller from day one. As a matter of fact, there is concerns about EVERY CONTROLLER that comes out. This is the Virtual DJ forum. If you have a problem with PCDJ, you should take your issues up with them. Did someone here tell you that The Denon controller had native support, before you bought it? If you took the time to read the major thread about that controller, you would have more info. Did you not understand the replies in this thread about the upcoming fixes? If not, go back and read it again.

Stop making excuses, and register the software. It's getting tired already. If you don't, I will ignore you and your issues, and ask everyone I know to do the same, until you do.

@Tayla, you do not owe this guy anything. You asked him very nicely, to register his software. We all know who you are, and you do not have to put up with his nonsense.

You got your answer from Denon. They are producing an updated firmware for the device. So, Atomix/VirtualDJ has released products VirtualDJ/PCDJ VJ that work with the Denon controller.

If you wish to continue your complaint please take it to the Denon website - http://www.denondjforums.com/. As that is the location for your complaints. The lockup is a Denon Firmware issue.

Here is Denon's exact topic on this matter --
VDJ/PCDJ VJ not working with Denon?! (update coming soon)

Hi, I know but you still sell Denon HC4500 & your soft wear on your web?
I don’t understand that.
The native midi don’t work?

I hope this forum will make you fix the problem fast.

As a said before there is dj that cant use their tools!!

Thanks

Okey, not sure if its possible to say more clear than this:

1) The Denon controller had a Vista driver issue, so it needed a firmware fix from Denon, out now.
2) As soon as driver is fixed, so will the native support for it, in VDJ and PCDJ VJ

VDJ is now in beta testing, where it includes a fix for this controller.
