LOL!!!

A microsoft slam that wasn't made by me! =D

I've told SO many people over the past several years that all Apple has to do to expose microsoft for the incompetent, classless geeks that they are is just let them keep doing what they are doing, fail, while Apple just needs to keep doing what it does, innovate for the switchers who are tired of dealing with a miserable failure of an OS called windows.

Since we're slamming, check out this article about the state of microsoft which also includes a link to the recent interview in which poor little billy g. lost his mind and showed his true colors/fear: (reposted by MacDailyNews) :

"Trends in the data that have to be massively disconcerting to Microsoft management (not to mention its external shareholders). Dripping, gloppy Apple envy coming from the top....And I am sure over the ensuing months and years we will see more of this stuff happening, where the more consumer-centric, lighter, friendlier applications will dominate the legacy titans of yesteryear. It is all just beginning, and the first and highest profile casualty may well be Sony, closely followed by Microsoft."

Enjoy watching the fall of the unworthy microsoft "empire" that was built on a weak foundation with broken windows!

Yeah, especially when the underlying message is true! ;)

"Vista makes me sad. Five years for a chrome-plated turd"
http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=37291

"...ask yourself what good new features Vista brings to the table. Most will respond that it has Aero Glass, a really pretty UI. How may other things does it bring that are positives? I can't honestly think of one...

what bad new things does Vista bring? Massive crushing DRM infections, unacceptable licence terms, bloated hardware requirements, and a list of cut features long enough to paper your bathroom..."

my puns asside vista is alright ,

the main feature i like of it is the networking module which allows your computer to create an adhoc network with many other pcs with out a server , with little config

although it would have been better as a service pack

my real wow of the latest developments

is office 2007 its actualy amazing all the new tools and features either way im happy as i got both free =)

Very cool sky!

I like iAlertU better than "LoJack for Mac" which we got in the last half of '06: http://www.lojackforlaptops.com/

Staying on the Mac accessory topic, but off the alarm subject (and the m$ subject as well), here's something for all the Mac using Star Wars fans out there:

http://www.macsaber.com/

Unlike the Mac alarm that sky has posted about though, it's pretty useless. Apparently it's fun though...for some more than others! =P

THAT is the point!

A "new" OS that took microsoft over 5 years to ship, is nearly 2 years late, brings no new good things that Macs haven't had for years now, brings a LOT of new bad things that Macs and Linux don't have because our OS's are Open Source, and that it has been promising it's shareholders and the technology industry as a whole would be "revolutionary", is just "alright"?!!!

And to try to cover up the fact that vista is actually just "windows xp service pack 3" and to justify the ridiculous pricing for an update, NOT an upgrade, it spends half a billion dollars on marketing propoganda that is so transparent that it has generated little to no excitement? http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=2456

There's a name for that: failure.

Mac OS X has had "zero-config" networking since 2002. It was initially called "Rendezvous" and is now called "Bonjour"

I agree. MBU (Mac Business Unit) at microsoft will do a great job on Office 2008 for Mac. =)

You know, that's funny sky!

I REALLY was going to post a microsoft slam like that but I figured it would be too obvious coming from me. =D

Good job on pointing out microsoft's illegal, monopolistic business practices that they are famous for sky, like in this example, they would have bought out the company just to shut them down just so that they would be entitled to the name.
