Probably a PII 266 MHz with at least 128 mb ram. You get best results using Windows 2000.

yikes pii-266? it's doggish enough on my pii-400 laptop w/ 256mb.

Well .... I had 2.0 running on my PII 233 with 128 Ram which ran fine (in hardware mode). I don't know how 2.1 would run ??? Go to a used laptop place and install the 2.1 demo on there ... see for yourself to see how it runs and evaluate what the requirements are.
