Topic: minimum laptop spec for atmx2.1

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hey all,

thanks in advance for your assistance...

was wondering what the realistic minimum specification for a laptop to reasonably run Atomixmp3 2.1 would be. Will a PII with 128m+ RAM work? or do you recommend a PIII minimum?

i'm going to buy a used laptop to add to my CD rig, but i can't afford a new unit.

I use a PII with 192 mb of ram with no problems but, I recommend a litle more than 192mb of ram maybe 256mb. Like I said though I am using 192 mb no problems except for minor skips that happen very rarely, oh yeah an d I am running win XP pro.

I use a Duron 850 with 256 MB RAM and had no troubles. My desktop is an Athlon 750 with 128 MB and I had no problem either. I guess 128 MB should be enough, but can it's always better to have the more RAM you can afford.

i use a p2 350mhz 64mb ram .. and no problems at all, except for the use of certain skins..but that's no biggie .. just use the 'not so flashier ones'

AMD K6-II 380, 198 Mb ram, Voodoo Banshee, no skip no gaps but every a lot slows down the visualization
AMD Athlon Th. 1333, 512 Mb ram, ATI Radeon 7500, the best!!
