Topic: Cannot Install Skin

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I try to install a skin I get the attached error.

why the hell do you want to save downloaded file to .... a protected folder ?
.... and 32bit

correct folder is %documents%\Skins\...

you may reinstall VDJ for better results...

it defines in register key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VirtualDJ\HomeFolder
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\VirtualDJ\

I could not figure out how to change the folder not change it to 64 bit. I will try to uninstall and reinstall VDJ now and let you know what I get.

The first time I tried it again it put it in the same place as the first time. But I wiped everything clean and went to Advanced when installing it this last time and I was able to follow that C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\VirtualDJ\[/quote] path and now skins download correctly.
