To save programming time, perhaps the event scheduler could record actions. Once the record button is clicked, event scheduler would listen for the first action and then record in real-time until stopped. You could then save that list of timed events just as you can after manually programming them now.

Last I checked macro record is unusable in the real world, macros not saved across sessions, and several hoops to jump thru just to get it to play twice in one session.
