im using a decent laptop, but it has a regular wasabi realtek chip. i guess i can make a mix with a mouse? but the way i eq might be difficult. i do have 2 controllers laying around. both have soundcards. but then i would need to plug in some type of external speakers, and where im going (small resort in northern france). its a really quite place.

You can use the controller but still setup the audio to go through the laptop.

was thinking that i found a cable. 2 rca outs to a headphone in? im going to try to get the NI Z1 woking. its small and works well. how exactly would i map it to play so that the tunes come out of the laptop speakers?

On the master line in audio setup, on the second drop down select your internal sound card
