Topic: Deezer error: 'Unknown file type'

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Every time I search for a song on Deezer and drag it into a deck I get a deck error: 'Unknown file type' and no song can be played. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if so is there a fix?

Yes I got that problem too but only in these 2 situations. No internet connected or if a ton of deezer tracks are analyzed in a short period of time.

Sign out of Deezer then sign back in again from within VDJ.

Happened to me last week and that sorted it.

i have tried that kradcliffe and its not resolving the issue, is your currently working ?

I have the same error when a track (even locally stored tracks) has moved from location and VDJ database does not know that. So it is a missing file but I get the message UNKNOWN FILETYPE.
