Topic: Cracks when bending with ddj sb3

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

when I bend (or slow down) using the !! LEFT!! jogwheel of my ddj-sb3 there are crackling sounds hearable.. Only the left deck has this issue.
I recorded it and posted it on soundcloud. (last 3 seconds of recording it's best hearable)

Does anyone know what happens here? It is really only the left deck, right deck plays fine.

Thanks, Chris.

Sounds like your latency is set too low

Yes, thought latency as well but latency checker defines my machine as perfect. Used the build in soundcard of the SB3, not via my computer...

Must say, turned the controller off and on again and it was gone, but not sure if the problem is gone permanently.

I'll make sure I go true the list you provided and ask again when this isn't the issue.

Thanks!

That may be, but you still need to set the correct latency for your audio interface.

Ah ok, and if I'm right that's possible in the vdj software. Please correct me if I'm wrong here :-)

VDJ has some settings that affect latency, yes - but you need to adjust the buffer size of your ASIO driver.
