Can you please add a function that VDJ only use or prefer the cover from the file tag?
Sometimes after a update VDJ resets the settings and downloads cover from the web source, unless i deactivate the function again.
After that i delete the cover folder in the VDJ cache folder - but this works not for every file.
I spend a lot time - hours and hours - to rip my CD collection and tag them exactly. As I worked with CDs before the Cover is a big deal for me to recognize the different version of song title.
So please add the function for use the tag covers only!

I have never had any issues with this.
VDJ shows covers embedded in the MP3 tag if they are there and nothing if there aren't any. It doesn't download anything to the tag cache unless I specifically click on the picture in the tag editor.
Just make sure coverDownload is set to no.

Hi, I still have a issue that VDJ shows wrong cover wich are stored anywhere in the VDJ Database.
I delted the folder "covers" but it never contains all the covers that are wrong and of course the setting are set right.
That is reall annoying, because i spend alot of time into tagging the files.

1. Switch the 'coverDownload' option to "never"
2. Delete your "Covers" folder in cache,
3. Clean your database
4. Reload tags for all files
5. Done!

Thanks, tried to follow your steps
1. Settings only possible "coverDownload" no - exakt - always, so i ticked "no"
2. cache is cleaned
3. done
4. done
... still some wired and wrong covers on tracks, it's annoying.

After long research I finally found a solution!!
In the Windows Explorer i ticked show also hidden files.
For many files there was a hidden jpeg file.
like
Music file: "306 - Ghetto people feat. i.-viz - In the ghetto.mp3"
Hidden cover: "306 - Ghetto people feat. i.-viz - In the ghetto.mp3.jpeg"
After searching for all "*.mp3.jpeg" files at the Windows browser I deleted them all restarted VDJ, cleared the database and reread the tags.
The wrong covers where gone!
The problem may not be caused by VDJ but VDJ does read this files instead of the cover stored in the tag.
I think its caused by any other mediaplayer software which does download metadata, maybe VLC in my case.
To avoid this there should be an explicit option in VDJ to always prefer the meta data stored in the tag, not any other.
