I'll be updating my MacBook Pro in the coming weeks. Seeing as they only have USB-C ports, I was wondering if it's better to buy the USB to USB-C dongle that Apple makes or is it better to use some kind of multipart adaptor (example below). Does it matter? I'm using a Hercules RMX 2 as my controller.

I use a very similar version to the one pictured above with no issues at all. That being said I don’t use every port at the same time.
HDMI, 2xUSB3 and power in.
