Topic: Using a preamp to replace the laptop primary sound card

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

This is a question for a friend running VDJ8. I am currently running VDJ7 with a separate preamp to replace the internal sound card on my laptop. I go to config and sound set up tab. From there sound card. There I have the option to choose which sound card. (primary or my preamp) I hit apply and I'm done.

VDJ8 is and looks different when you go to config. Where do you go to recognize the sound card options and to apply and override the primary laptop sound card?
