Hi-
the record function is working perfectly well in VDJ8, but it's not picking up the audio from my microphone, which is plugged into the Pioneer DDJ SB2 controller i'm using. Any suggestions regarding configuration in settings I could try?

thank you for the link. i've went in to VDJ and made those specific changes, enabling the mic under the master,etc,, but for some reason i'm still not hearing the mic audio in a recording. i hear the audio when i play live (which is the most crucial thing) but i need the mic for podcasts i produce.
any other thoughts?

Please pay attention to the paragraph next to the first bullet point (of that wiki page).
You're plugging the mic into the SB2 after the audio has left VDJ. If you use the 'record' button in VDJ it will not pick up the mic, because the mic is connected to the SB2. It doesn't send audio back to VDJ from the controller.
You need to either record directly from the output of the SB2, or connect a mic to the computer so that the VDJ software mixer can use it.
