Topic: Question - 7.4 & MacOS Sierra

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

HI

I may have to upgrade my MacBook Pro and as such would be getting a MacBook Pro 2016 version. This of course would have MacOS Sierra on it. Will Virtual DJ 7.4 work with Sierra and a Hercules RMX 2 controller?

I know version 7.4 isn't maintained anymore, however I prefer 7.4. If I can't use 7.4 is VDJ 8.2 stable with Sierra and Hercules RMX 2?

Please advise

Thanks

I don't think many people have new Macs as they are so frickin expensive. Not heard of 7 not being supported on Sierra.

I have a few of the new Mac's now and VDJ 7 works fine on them under Sierra. I also know that Hercules also supplies a compatible Sierra driver for the RMX2.

In theory, you shouldn't have any issues at all, however I would STRONGLY suggest that you move to VDJ 8.2 for a massive number of reasons. (There is no reason to user VDJ 7 any longer.)
