Topic: how can I keep 2 decks' BPM synced while changing the tempo?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey guys, first post here on the forum lol haven't been on a forum in ages :p
Anyway I'm new to DJing and I've run into a problem over and over again and I can't find an answer anywhere..

I'm trying to keep 2 tracks BPM matched, but when I click the little BPM reset button on one deck that gradually brings the BPM down to default +/- 0, the other track stays at what it was when I clicked sync.
This is the normal function of the buttons, I understand. I'm wondering though if I can change the pitch/BPM of one deck and the other will automatically adjust to keep in sync. Is there a lock sync button or something? :p

I use this function when I want to mix songs that have quite a large bpm difference and I want to do a smooth transition. I have mapped a key on the keyboard to activate it and it works really well. The only problem I have is that sometimes I forget to turn pitch lock off and it messes up the next mix!!
