Topic: Virtual dj set up-beginner here.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello all ,
I am looking fro help setting up my dj at home system. Especially with connections and software set up.
I have the following....
Virtual dj Pro 7
Pioneer sx 1080 (old school receiver)
desktop computer w/ on board sound card AND SB X-Fi Titanium sound card
Behringer VMX 1000 USB pro Mixer.
I am trying to set this up using VDJ software thru my computer and mixer and make mixes.
I am not sure what the connections/cables to connect-use.
I am told that VMX does NOT record but am wondering if I can record using the VDJ as the recorderI do not plan to use cd's or vinyl , just mp3's
Any replies would be appreciated
Thank you

Okay so a few things pop up when I read your post:

1) Your account says that you're a Home User-- not a pro user.
2) You say that you have VDJ-7 Pro, so I'm going to assume that you have a pirated version of the software.

Not cool, dude.

If you're a beginner, get an entry level controller with a LE license.

You say you have Virtual DJ Pro, please register your serial number, which will allow you to use any controller, and give you access to all updates including Virtual DJ 8.

Virtual DJ 8 does not use key codes (or even a keyode). It requires you to purchase a license and then log in to VDJ using your forum details.

can VDJ7 still be purchased in 2016 joined as a member?

If you buy a VDJ 8 Pro infinity licence (not subscription) then you can still download V7 as well.
