Topic: Should I Update my MAC OS? Looking for experience

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am still on Yosemite just for the simple fact that it works. My DJ Mac can get Sierra but I want to know if there are any issue right now that anyone is having? Does it take more CPU to run that operating system? Is it glitchy with video DJing at all? I know it comes with Siri, Can I turn that off? I didnt move to El Capitan due to Pioneer controllers at the time was not working well with that OS. Any info would be nice. I do have a Windows 10 Machine HP Envy x360 that is ready to roll in case I do update my Mac and all hell breaks lose.

WOW Thank you. I could not find a thread that informative. Thanks a lot. I was looking to update my OSX for possible Speed difference in there were any, not that my DJ Mac runs slow, but with Full video going and Video effects and overlays that I have in my Sampler, the CPU only runs at about 45%, maybe 50% tops which is fine.
