Topic: Hiding the mouse pointer on a touch screen

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

What do you guys use? I use nomousy to show and hide the mouse cursor, but I would rather have an internal solution without using 3rd party utilities... Does anyone know about a way to hide the pointer by configuring or tweaking Windows?

The pointer hides automatically as soon as you use the touch screen I think

In Windows 7 you get a small diamond shaped pointer, or, if you turn on the touch mouse cursor, an opaque image of a mouse... In Windows 10, I do not know yet what happens with the mouse pointer in VDJ...

Just checked on my windows 10 tablet with keyboard/touchpad cover.
As long as I touch the screen no pointer is visible, as soon as I use the touchpad the mouse pointer appears, and when I touch the screen again the pointer disappears again.
(With a stock windows 10 installation)

Another reason to switch to W10! No more 3rd party apps needed... :)
Thanks for your time and interest, Adion! Appreciate it!
