One of my best decisions in my 33 years with computers was to switch from pc to a Macbook. I have a 15'' Macbook Pro Retina and am very happy with it. Reliable, user friendly, light and powerful. No viruses or preinstalled bloatware.

ASUS ROG, or equal MSI. Anything equal to or better than Intel 4700HQ processor, and equal to or better than Intel chipset 4600 graphics. Then your lappy will coast through your gigs. JMHO :)

if you will be mixing only audio most modern laptops will do......
if mixing video the above suggestions are best i am sure.
