Topic: wego2 : use vu meters for master level

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hi everybody-

i have a question regarding the ddj wego2:

the ddj wego2 has 2 vu meters ,one for left deck & one for the right deck

but since vdj has autogain and zero db setting , i am not interested in each channels level BUT i would like to use the vu meters for the master level (master sound output of the console ? or master sound output Vdj ? are they the same ?)

it is important for me to see how much sound (master output) i am outputting in total from the console (and or vdj), and not how much from each channel .

is there something to do in the mapping of the wego2 ? if yes what is the vdj script and where in the mapping should i change it ?

thanks a lot for the help

will the get_level script on the vu mapping of the controller do the job ?

i am asking because i dont have yet the ddj wego2 ,i am getting it in about 10 days

i just can not get the 2 vu meters on the wego2 to show the master output.
i tried several scripts but the best i managed is to get the one vu meter to show the master output, the other one was not doing anything.

anybody with an idea ?

for the record the vu meter has on the default mapper the script get level.

it is like this :

DNC_VU_METER" action="get level"

what would the correct script be to have both vu meters showing the left & right master output ?

thanks a lot

deck master get_vu_meter
or
device_side 'left' ? deck master get_vu_meter_left : deck master get_vu_meter_right
